The return traveller is likely to be quite knowledgeable about the island of Bali and is seeking to venture a little further out. This ultimately involves a more detailed itinerary that covers fairly remote areas with unique stops along the way.

East Coast Tour
This East Coast Tour will give you a rare insight into a side of Bali that remains relatively untouched by the impact of tourism. Here the people lead a fairly simple existence and rely of the bounty of the sea and land to sustain a living. First we travel to an area called Sideman, which is blessed by magnificent rice terrace scenery that was once the inspiration for a number of renowned European artists. This village hamlet produces lengths of ceremonial cloth called songket that is woven using threads of gold and silver. Then at Putung we will enjoy elevated views of the landscape that extend out over the distant ocean.

We make a fascinating stop at the traditional village of Tenganan where the people are descendants of Bali’s original inhabitants. The people here have managed to resits the temptations of the outside world and have their own calendar of ancient customs and religious rites. From here we travel to the nearby water palace of Tirta Gangga with bathing pools and ornamental ponds reminiscent of a bygone era. We have the opportunity to go snorkelling off the coast of Amed and see a salt making community that still uses the primitive collection techniques of yesteryear. Our final stop for the day is Goa Lawah, a temple compound with a cave filled with literally thousands of bats.

North Coast Tour
This tour was created to cover all major points of interest on the journey up to Bali’s north coast in the course of a single day. We head of early for our fist stop at Pura Ulun Danau Bratan, a seemingly floating temple compound dedicated to the Goddess of the waters. Next we experience the gentle beauty of the Buyan and Tamblingan Lake District before moving on to a simple plantation to see how Bali’s aromatic coffee is processed.

As we continue on to the top of the island we stop at a delightful waterfall that where local children happily play and will be more than happy to pose for a photo or two. We then take time out for a rejuvenating soak in the hot spring waters of Air Panas Banjar. This site is encompassed by tropical flora and the waters are said to have a healing effect on the body, mind and sprit. Finally we reach the small coastal resort of Lovina, an area known for its sunrise dolphin watching tours and laidback beach lifestyle.

West Coast Tour
During the West Coast Tour you will experience captivating scenery as the road winds its way through a landscape of rice terraces, clove plantations and many other types of agricultural produce. We venture deep into the jungle terrain to Punjungan Waterfall where we will cool down with a refreshing dip. The calm beauty of this area is truly inspiring. As we travel further the car literally passes through Bunut Bolong, which is an ancient banyan tree with roots firmly embedded in the soil on both sides of the road. Here there is a small shrine dedicated to this amazing phenomenon. Lastly we reach the popular beach of Medewi where avid surfers gather to rides its long rolling waves. The grey sand and rocky beach is a stretch that extends as far as they eye can see. The area features several budget home stays and bungalow accommodations to cater to the transient community to travelling surfers.
